Happy Belated New Year

Posted by kryptikos on January 7, 2008

Happy Belated New Year to you all! Things here have been quiet on the western front for the past weeks because of family illness. My wife unfortunately had to spend the last portion of 2007 and the first week of 2008 in the hospital and I stayed with her. Life always has an interesting way of just happening. Her illness came on rather suddenly and stumped the doctors. They still are not certain about the cause of what happened…in fact I think tossing the words “confused and befuddled” into the mix would be appropriate. After spending over a week in the hospital and running vast and all inclusive batches of tests and then engrossing us with an exorbitant amount of Latin terminology we still came away with more questions than answers. They have a narrow path that they are exploring of what is going on as well as having drawn enough blood to incite a horde of vampire bats into a frenzy, but they are still relatively stumped. Talk about frustration! But God is good all the time…they decided she is well enough to bring home and at least rest with our fat dog (who missed her greatly…I’m chopped liver to her) and our new kitty cat addition while they still scratch their noggins. We have many more doctor visits in our future, but that’s just part of life. God isn’t surprised by anything and I know I am at my strongest when I am on my knees.

So anyways, things have been a little quiet here in Kryptikos land, but I hope to start getting things back to a normal routine. To those who read this or stumble across me Happy Be-lated New Year. Best wishes to you and your family for a safe and productive year! And if you haven’t met Jesus Christ may this be the time you and He are introduced.

Matt 8:7-9 “Jesus said to him, “I will go and heal him.” The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go’, and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
